在融合課程中探索自然之美INTERGRATION WEEK IN YINGHE

連元英禾融合課程(YINGHE Intergration Curriculum)是我校的重要特色課程,該課程是針對(duì)小學(xué)及初中階段學(xué)生實(shí)施的中西融合課程。課程采用PBLProject-BasedLearning)項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí)模式,除了英語(yǔ)能力之外,也非常注重基礎(chǔ)學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)及包括傳統(tǒng)文化、科學(xué)、音、體、美等多重素質(zhì)培養(yǎng)。


The YINGHE Intergration Curriculum is one of the teaching features of Yinghe Bilingual School. Aimedat students from G1-G9, it combines a traditional Chinese and Western curriculum.PBLProject-BasedLearningisthe basic learning model of the curriculum. English ability as well as basicsubjects (traditional culture, science, music, painting, and PE) are all highlightedin the curriculum.


接觸自然,讓學(xué)生探索和領(lǐng)略自然之美,是此次連元英禾融合課程的主要目的,也受到了學(xué)生和家長(zhǎng)們的一致歡迎。

Touching,exploring and appreciating the beauty of natureis the core of the intergration curriculum and also highly welcomed by both studentsand parents.


那么,融合課程是怎樣開展的呢?

So, how is the intergration curriculum carried out?


此次融合課程應(yīng)景當(dāng)下的秋季,以“觸摸—思考—呈現(xiàn)”為設(shè)計(jì)思路,引導(dǎo)孩子探究自然自我之間的關(guān)系,在實(shí)踐中體驗(yàn)自然、感知自然、外化和呈現(xiàn)自己心中的自然。

This theme begins with the natural world during the season of Autumn to guide our studentsto explore the relationships among nature and self, followed by further practiceinto the related curricular representations.


BEGINNING

開篇:【樹葉采集】Leaf Collecting

學(xué)校組織學(xué)生走出教室,走進(jìn)大自然,采集目標(biāo)任務(wù)卡上的秋天的落葉,采集的過程既培養(yǎng)了孩子觀察對(duì)比的能力,又讓孩子們與秋天的大自然建立了情感鏈接。

The school organizedthe Fall Field Trip to encourage students to go back to nature. It was certainlyan exciting journey during which students were able to rebuild their emotionalconnection with nature. Meanwhile, a leaf collection task also cultivated theirabilities of observation and comparison. That’s the beginning of our intergration curriculum.

【吟誦秋天】Chanting the Fall

孩子們齊聲朗誦《秋天在歌唱》,在詩(shī)歌、美文中,體會(huì)文學(xué)世界秋天的神韻。

Studentschanted the poem,“Autumn is singing”, and felt the charm of autumn.

【細(xì)數(shù)秋天】Counting the Fall

在有關(guān)秋天的圖畫故事中,孩子們學(xué)會(huì)用數(shù)學(xué)思維來解決實(shí)際問題。

In graphicstories about autumn, children learned to use mathematical thinking to solve practical problems.

COME AND EXPLORE

“探索”是這一單元的主線,場(chǎng)景遍布在校園的各個(gè)角落,培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生的觀察能力、語(yǔ)言表達(dá)能力與表演能力。

"Exploration"is the main line of this unit. The scenes are found in every corner of the campus. This unit cultivates students' abilities of observation, language expression and representation.


【動(dòng)感秋天】RUNRUNRUN

秋天中,怎么能夠沒有你奔跑的身影?

在體育課上,通過完成“尋寶”任務(wù)、擊中稻草人等運(yùn)動(dòng)項(xiàng)目,孩子們體會(huì)到“達(dá)成目標(biāo),收獲秋天”的心理滿足感。

In the PEclass, through completing the "treasure hunt" task and hitting the scarecrow, students experienced the psychological satisfaction of"achieving goals” in the harvest atmosphere.

【探尋秋天】Tasting and Presenting

PSHE課程單元孩子們?cè)谑澄锏钠穱L中,知曉四季孕育的代表性食物,感恩自然,學(xué)會(huì)珍惜。英語(yǔ)課堂利用實(shí)物、工具和智慧黑板中的放大鏡,跟著主人公Pam the Panda來尋找秋天的元素。戲劇表演巧妙地融合在課程中,將整個(gè)單元完美收尾。

Students learned the representative food of four seasons by tasting foods in PSHE class.Drama performance was highly integrated into the curriculum, in which students followed “Pam the Panda” to find the elements of autumn with various tools and amagnifying glass. The drama performance brought the entire unit to a perfectending.

SCIENTIFIC & MAGICAL THINGS

充滿魔幻,穿越時(shí)空,孩子們學(xué)會(huì)如何打破常規(guī)思維,表現(xiàn)自我情感、感悟生活。

This unit isfull of magic. It teaches students how to break the conventional thinking and encourage students to express their emotions and gain a sense of the truemeaning of life.


【提問秋天】Reconstructing Seasons

結(jié)合植物生長(zhǎng)的自然規(guī)律,科學(xué)課上開展了對(duì)“葉子”的時(shí)空重塑。隨后STEM課程用3D打印筆畫出孩子們心中最美的樹葉。原來有些樹葉不會(huì)因?yàn)榧竟?jié)的交替變黃,秋天真美好!

Based on the natural laws of plant growth, the spatiotemporal remodeling of"leaves" was carried out in the STEM class. Students used 3D printingto draw the most beautiful leaves in their hearts and these leaves will neverfall down from trees and never turn yellow in autumn. What magic!

【聆聽秋天】Embracingthe Lovely Fall

你在秋天的小樹林里,聆聽過踩樹葉的聲音嗎?

孩子們?cè)诔錆M魔法的音樂課感受小樹葉的Falling down,感受不同歌曲速度帶來的不同情緒變化,拿著絢麗多彩的小樹葉一起舞動(dòng)。原來落葉并不是生命的終結(jié),而是新生的象征。

Students experienced the ‘Falling down’ of leaves and emotional changes brought about by different rhythms in an enchantingmusic class. Fallen leaves are not the end of life, but a symbol of rebirth.

【描繪秋天】Paintingthe Fall in My Eyes

美術(shù)課上,孩子們描繪的一幅幅樹葉彩繪和拓印,這些樹葉來自音樂課的“神秘小樹林”。孩子們調(diào)動(dòng)了所有自己能想到的表現(xiàn)方式,展現(xiàn)自己對(duì)自然和生活的熱愛。

The final presentationat the end of the curriculum was a series of student paintings which showed theirlove for nature and life.

美好的融合課程并沒有在課程結(jié)束后就戛然而止,它更多地是教會(huì)了孩子們?nèi)绾卧趯?shí)踐中發(fā)現(xiàn)、探尋自然,如何用自己的方式去解決問題,表達(dá)情感。

The intergration week did not come to an end after the courses. Instead, it taught students how to discover and explore nature in practice and inspired them to solve problemsand express emotions in their own way.
